ThredUP reached out to me recently and challenged me to wear 5-7 outfits from their site for a week. And of course I accepted! I had actually ordered a dress from their site not too long ago and had already fallen in love with their site. So this was the perfect challenge for me!
A little on thredUP:
- thredUP is a resale website specializing in practically new brand name apparel for kids and women (i.e. Banana Republic, Ralph Lauren, GAP, etc.) at 80% off retail.
- “Practically New” means there are no absolutely NO signs of wear or tear. Every item undergoes a 12-point inspection process by expert consignors, including full color-spectrum light that illuminates even the most minor flaws. thredUP takes high resolution photos so buyers can see every detail, and can return items within 30 days.
- Just like with used cars (now “certified pre-owned”), and used electronics (now “refurbished”), thredUP’s rigorous inspection process and “Practically New” certification provides a quality promise to customers, helping to eliminate the risk of buying used online.
- thredUP is built for busy families, streamlining the selling process and making it possible to browse thousands of items and hundreds of top brands all in one place.
I had such an awesome time browsing the thredUP website. I love thrifting but I absolutely hate digging through all the clothes. Most places aren’t very organized! Also, there is the whole time factor. I love that with thredUP I can go online and shop from the convenience of my home. They also have a mobile app that I love browsing through as well! Their price points are great and they offer a great selection of brands! I love that thredUP has kids clothing as well! How awesome is that?!
Kicking off my thredUP outfit challenge,I present to you outfit #1.
The dress I’m wearing is by Ralph Lauren. And guess what? It was new with tags! How awesome is that?
I really love this dress. Love that it has pockets too! The red lining and ruffles on top gives it a very nice touch. A red lip was a must with this dress!
What do you guys think?
Stay tuned for outfit #2!
