Now that summer is coming to an end, I’ve been looking at the latest fall and winter collections.I’m excited to see what trends are in store for this new Fall/Winter season. Ralph Lauren has been always been one of my favorite designers for myself, and now for Gabriella as well. I love that his clothing is classic, preppy and of course very fashion forward.

On August 5, 2013, Ralph Lauren hosted a “Day at the Stables” for moms and their daughters to view the fall and holiday 2013 collections at the Wölffer Stables in Sagaponack,NY. The fall ’13 collection starts out with a rich combination of colorful iconic clothing perfect for back to school.(I can’t believe school has started already!) It then follows with rich romantic florals and classic 1930′s menswear clothing reminiscent of classic Downton Abbey.

For holiday ‘13, there was a Rustic Americana spirit, representing iconic styles for an idyllic Adirondack Holiday. The second part of the holiday collection was inspired by a dramatic color palette of black, cream and gold, accented with the holiday sparkle of glittering beading and hand embroideries throughout. A perfect mixture for elegant uptown affairs as well as chic downtown celebrations.

I really love the collection. I love that the collection is still reminiscent to Ralph Laurens iconic style but with an androgynous, yet girly flair. I love that there are some florals. Many people have the misconception that florals cannot be worn during the fall/winter,but they certainly can,so long as they are in a certain color palette. I also enjoyed seeing some tweed and plaid prints perfect for the fall and winter season.I also like the equestrian trend which is sure to be a hit this season. After the fashion show, guests enjoyed a first ever performance by Island Def Jam recording artist, Madison Beer, and many activities that included an Essie Nail Art Bar, Dylan’s Candy Bar, a photo booth and a hair braiding bar.Celebrities such as Jessica Alba, Christie Brinkley, Tiffany Thiessen and Edie Falco were in attendance with their daughters and they were all dressed in Ralph Lauren! A good time for sure! Check out RalphLauren.com where you can download Madison’s new single, Melodies, free exclusively for one week! Isn’t the collection fabulous?

The children look wonderful. It’s hard to imagine the weather ever getting cold again, what with the extended summer weather here near London. But, I suppose it will change soon enough. Love the last picture with the children squatting to pat the puppy.

What a wonderful selection from Ralph Lauren. I love the colors and fabrics. The little berets complete the outfits so well. Who knew about florals in the fall? :)

I love the looks, so put together for little fashionistas. I especially love how tweed skirts look on little girls – so classic.

Fantastic post. I’m not too fashion-relevant & I’m pretty sure my daughter is annoyed by that. Thanks for the heads up!

Those kids look very well turned out. My kids seem to like jeans and tshirts only. Less expensive for me!

Luckily for me and my checking account, I only have boys and their idea of dressing up is their good jeans with a polo shirt!
But, if I’d had a girl, and if I’d had the money to buy these things…oh boy. I love how preppy yet easy these outfits look. The mix of patterns (leopard and argyle?) is adorable and different.

These outfits are as cute as that puppy is. They make those kids look so much older than they really are though, they look like young adults instead of children.
