Although I’ll miss summer time, I have to admit- I’m kind of looking forward to the Fall and Winter seasons. However, I am NOT looking forward to the Cough, Cold and Allergy season. I always, always, ALWAYS get sick! Non-stop sneezing and coughing! And you already know- if the kiddo gets sick, I’m next! And allergies? My goodness…no fun at all! This time around, I’m ready for Cough, Cold and Allergy season!
On a recent trip to Sam’s Club, I made to sure to stock up on Puffs Plus Lotion! Puffs Plus Lotion is NEW at Sam’s Club in a 10 pack. I pretty much have a box of tissues in every room. You never know when the sniffles will strike! I made sure to send boxes of Puffs Plus Lotion to my daughters class as well!
Did you know that Puffs Plus Lotion is America’s #1 lotion tissue and is dermatologist tested to be gentle on sensitive skin?! Pretty awesome, right? I don’t know about you guys, but when the sniffles strike – I always end up looking like Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer! That’s why I love Puffs Plus Lotion, it’s the perfect tissue for sore/runny noses needing some extra softness!
Another way I like to conquer cough, cold and allergy season is by whipping up some DIY Cough Drops! These are simple to make using ingredients you most likely have in your pantry already! I used Honey because of it’s antibacterial properties and Coconut Oil because it is good for strengthening the immune system. Check out my tutorial below:
- 1 and 1/2 cup Honey
- 2 Tablespoons Coconut Oil
- *tea optional (I like adding green tea or peppermint tea occasionally)
- Place honey and coconut oil in a pot, bring to a boil.
- Bring to a boil and simmer until it becomes a syrup.
- Let syrup cool down and shape into balls or whatever shape you choose.
- Allow to cool.
- Sprinkle a little starch so they don't stick together.
- Enjoy and store up to 3 weeks!
