It’s unfortunate, but I feel like sun protection is something that many people are lacking. Now that it’s summer people are too busy getting their tan on to be cautious about sun protection. Many people have the misconception that just because they are a darker complexion that they will be okay. They don’t need to wear sun screen. Oh,and let’s not forget..so many people think that there is no need to wear sunscreen in the winter. WRONG! Sunscreen should be worn year long! Skin cancer is the most common cancer in the world, yet it is also one of the most preventable. We just have to educate ourselves and each other more on sun protection.
As a mother I am a stickler for sun protection. It’s gotten to the point where my 5 year old reminds ME if I haven’t put sunscreen on. We once went to a birthday party that took place outdoors. I put sunscreen on Gabby but nothing on myself. I got so sun burnt that day! And Gabby reminded me that it was because I didn’t apply sunscreen. And she’s right! I should of applied sunscreen.I was sunburnt for days! It was so uncomfortable and then my skin started peeling. GROSS! That’s why I love that the Neutrogena Suncare line has so many products to choose from! My favorite is the Beach Defense Sunscreen Spray Broad Spectrum SPF 30. I love that it is lightweight, oil free and water resistant for up to 80 minutes! Best of all, I love that it comes in a spray form. Super easy to apply!
What I also love about Neutrogena is that they are donating SPF products to families in need. One bad sunburn can double a child’s odds of developing skin cancer later in life. Daily sun protection helps prevent skin cancer, but sun protection unfortunately isn’t within every parents reach. For every Neutrogena SPF product purchased, they are donating one to a family in need. Up to $10 million! How awesome is that? I love companies that give back. I love companies that help out those in need. Thanks Neutrogena! Check out the video below for more details:
Thanks for reading! Don’t forget to wear sunscreen!
