My daughter loves playing with playdough! What kid doesn’t? However, there are so many times that A- The kiddo lets the playdough dry out or B- Mixes colors and then regrets it. One day while in the toy section she asked for more playdough, instead of buying some more I decided to buy the ingredients to make some at home!
DIY Playdough Recipe
2 cups plain flour
1 cup salt
1 cup cold water (Stir in gradually so you don’t make a huge mess!)
1 tablespoon oil (I used coconut oil!)
It’s pretty easy to make. Just mix all the ingredients together. However, this makes a pretty decent amount of playdough,so I waited until the end to add the food coloring because I split the dough in half to make different colors. Parchment paper and gloves came in very handy as well. I didn’t use gloves at 1st and stained my hands! Also, keep some extra flour nearby to sprinkle in when needed. I hd to add a little more after adding some food coloring. Get creative! Add some glitter! Want it to smell yummy? Add some essential oils! The options are endless and this playdough is inexpensive to make!
Seems easy enough to make right? Gabby has had so much fun playing with her homemade playdough!
