Day 3 (Friday) Nicole and I woke up bright and early for Breakfast at BlogHer. I was really excited to hit up the Expo Hall as well since I had not been able to go to Evening at the Expo the night before. Though the Expo Hall felt a lot smaller than last years, but it was still fabulous. Many of the same brands were there from last year and it was nice to see some other awesome brands added to the Expo Hall this year. I was also a Mic Wrangler during on the morning sessions.
During one of my “break times” I left the McCormick for a moment to attend the Mom Select Suite event. I had a really nice time. It wasn’t overly crowded so I was able to walk around at my own pace and talk to brand representatives there. I then headed back to BlogHer so I could attend that afternoons Mini Style Con. I absolutely enjoyed the Mini Style Con. I hope it turns into a bigger thing down the line.
I wasn’t feeling all to well that day so I headed to my hotel room for a bit after the sessions were over. The weather wasn’t as warm as I thought it would be. Thank goodness for Walgreens and all the medicine I stocked up with at the Expo Hall! Later that evening I headed to the Hardrock Cafe for a Hasbro event. I ran into some fellow bloggers on the way and we all headed there together. The Hasbro Event was a lot of fun. After that event I headed to the Sheraton for some of the official BlogHer parties!
I didn’t stay out too late since I was tired, not feeling well and oh! I had to pack since I was flying home the following night! Nicole was flying out Saturday night as well. You shoulda seen our beds! Swag overload! We did a pretty good job at packing though.
Day 4 (Saturday) Got up bright and early again. Headed to BlogHer for breakfast. I had a session to work in the morning and one in the afternoon. The afternoon session was Grow and Monetize Your Email List . Laura Fuentes from MOMables did a really awesome job. I don’t even utilize email but after learning so much at her session I might just have to get started!
After that session,I did one last sweep of the Expo Hall. Ended up getting a few more swag items to go home with. I luckily found space in my checked luggage for the Trojan goodies I won. lol I didn’t feel too comfortable with those in my carry on bag.
I loved all the artwork at the Midway airport!
It made the long walk from the train to the airport a lot better. LOL
It was also my 1st time flying with SouthWest airlines and it wasn’t bad. I would fly with them again!
BlogHer seriously went by too fast! I wish I would of stayed an extra day. Overall, I had a pretty great time! I got to meet many fabulous ladies in person which was really nice. Things have been a bit crazy at home since I came back but things are finally starting settle down so I definitely want to reach out to some of the brands and fabulous bloggers I met.
