I love living in New York City! I was born in Queens, raised in Brooklyn, lived in a few states after high school and I’m back in Queens now! One of the best things about living in NYC is the diversity. I think NYC hands down is the most diverse place ever and I LOVE it! Especially being a mom now and raising a kid in the city, there’s nothing like teaching your kids all about the different cultures!
Gabby and I are going to the Caribbean in a few months. A 7 day cruise to the Bahamas! I am so excited! We’ve been to a few different states, but I have yet to take her to a different country. Can’t wait to experience the culture in the Caribbean! A few of my friends have been to, or are from the Caribbean and they tell me how beautiful it is. I can’t wait to experience it for myself!
To learn a little bit more about the Caribbean culture, I plan on attending Caribbean Week NY 2015. Caribbean Week is the largest and most effective event on the Caribbean tourism calendar. It is a celebration of the sights and sounds and unique vacation experiences and business offerings that the Region offers. I can’t wait to learn more that way, when we visit the Bahamas I’ll know all the best places to go and see!
One of the main reasons I am very excited to attend Caribbean Week NY 2015, going on from June 1st- June 5th, is because of the Rum & Rhythm Benefit & Auction. The Rum and Rhythm Benefit & Auction event is to feature samples of the region’s award-winning rums, Caribbean culinary cuisine, music and a fund-raising silent auction benefiting the CTO Foundation for Caribbean nationals pursuing studies in tourism and hospitality. The Rum and Rhythm Benefit & Auction is scheduled for June 5th from 6:30PM-10:30PM. Visit this page for more info about the Rum & Rhythm event and Eventbrite for registration.
If you’re in the NYC area I hope you join me at the Rum & Rhythm Benefit & Auction! Hope to see you there!
